Today was supposed to reach school at 9 and i reached at 8:59! Hahaha i'm 1minute early. Chiong-ed up hall and saw 7 sec1s there so i ran and joined them. Mr chew was talking about the air alert thingy with us and he printed out this small booklet for us. We did 1 set of each today haha it was fun (: Than training started. My shoulder was pain i don't know if it's the bone or the muscles ):
My setting and spiking was suckish! I guess the when i was in taiwan i didn't train at all. I only played the primary school matches that's all. Was getting rusty already ): Than me alex and huimin were training our setting with Mr chew keke damn fun.
Than there's this you jie the ball to the setter than the setter set for you thingy so Mr chew tell me each time i jie 2balls do 10 push ups. Than he told me 3-4balls than do 10 push ups. Got one time i spike out by accident he asked me do 10 push ups. So i did it lor muscles aching haha. I guess this is sort of to build my muscles so i can set better and partly my arms no strength. Haha went for lunch after training and homeee ;D

Taiwan was ok la... Fell sick ):
That's the worst thing that could ever happen on a trip la.
Thanks to the tour guide and many others who were caring to me and those who brought me to the hospital (:
Thanks Chantalle who accompanied me throughout the hospital thingy of taking blood
haha the taking blood part was kind of uncomfortable la! It's like they don't use stringe they use the test-tube thingy to get your blood. 2 test-tube SOMEMORE! They connect one test tube to the needle which is in my vein than when they collected enough they take another one and connect to the needle again. They were like super rough so now my hand sort of had an orh-cheh ): but it wasn't pain la hahha.

yaayy! our nation's 44 years old!
and there are 44things about Singapore that you may not know ;o :

1. We fought independence, and independence won.

If Lee Kuan Yew is to be believed, then we are probably the only country that gained nationhood by not wanting it. Of course, the other founding fellows have been quoted as saying that leaving the Federation (of Malaysia) was the "best thing that ever happened to Singapore".

2. It happened on a Monday.

The populace awoke, ate breakfast and started their work week like any other week in the life of the Federation when at 10am, a live radio broadcast of Lee Kuan Yew's declaration "on behalf of the people and government of Singapore" that we were now a sovereign, independent and democratic nation.

3. 10am then is not the same as 10am now.

Before January 1, 1982, Singapore Standard Time (SST) was 7 hours and 30 minutes (GMT +7:30) ahead of Greenwich Mean Time. We only moved to GMT +8:00 to keep up with Peninsular Malaysia's move to match East Malaysia's time zone.
Confused? Spare a thought for those who lived in Singapore in before May 1905 - Singapore Time was 6 hours 55 minutes ahead of GMT.
Also, the skies were dark every morning at 7 during the Japanese Occupation, because the clocks were set to Japanese standard time (GMT +9:00).

4. Independence was actually agreed upon on the Saturday before that.

The Separation Agreement was actually signed by the ministers on the weekend before August 9, 1965.

5. Um... actually, we were independent once before.

On August 31, 1953, in agreeing to merge with the Malaysian federation, Singapore unilaterally declared independence, several weeks before the Malaysian government did so in September of the same year.

6. We only got our own money two years later.

On 7 April 1967, we set up the Board of Commissioners of Currency and started issuing our own money, which was still equal to the Malaysian ringgit.

7. The national anthem was written six years before independence.

It was written to be played at state functions in 1959, and was later officially made the national anthem. The Malaysians had roughly the same history with theirs (Negaraku) - an anthem they adopted from the Perak state anthem, which was created because an aide to the Sultan, when asked by officials at the coronation of Edward VII what his state anthem was, proceeded to hum the tune to an old French drinking song he had heard in the Seychelles.

8. The composer of the national anthem was a composer of scores for Cathay Keris films.

But at the sight of blood i feel like fainting already.

But it's like a bit of my blood can safe a life.
So i was thinking why not?
If i can save people i don't mind going through a little pain.
Compared to me i'm sure many people needs blood more than i do.
Every minute of every day, someone needs blood.
That blood can only come from a volunteer donor.
With an aging population and more complex medical procedures, the demand for blood is increasing.
That's why i want to donate blood.
Blood contains many life-saving components that can help to treat different illnesses and injuries.
The platelets found in blood are used to treat leukaemia patients.
Blood can save a person who met with an accident.
Blood can save so many people...
So i'm going to gain weight so that i can donate blood.

Can I Borrow $25?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so ! you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

T! he little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yell ed. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to

have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

hmm... today had Vball in the morning just came back and i'm now blogging so ... yeah...
urm ... today 教练 was like si beh angry than we do one mistake we have to 'wei' 30 and we broke a record of 400 + 'wei' ankle pain ------- TT than we like did the same thing as our seniors the spike 接 set than at first we all blur blur one than don't know what to do than we thought don't need to set the ball which the person jie than we again kena 30 'wei'

than later we played this 'match' thingy if the ball hit one time than go over the net have to 'wei' again than if touch net must 'wei' 100 than if never jie the properly have to 'wei' than we like training our leg muscles luhh but also good lah so can run faster or jump higher or smth like that lah i don't know ...

than did 体能 some physical thingy lifted weights both 5 and 10 kg while the seniors do all the exercises need to lift 10 kg weights hand was like jelly after lifting them lor but i like [: than went market with alex hui min and jing yi ~ and than HOMEEEEEE

Today was part II of art flair and it was somewhat

why are we not allowed to wear homeclothes?
